The collection consists of the business papers (including some facsimile copies) of William P. Dole (ca. 1818-1889). The bulk of the collection centers around Dole's land acquisitions in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado and his mining interests in Utah, Nevada, and California. Many promissory notes and some deeds may be found in the collection.
